Resisting Presence
Presence may be resisted by the same system that White Wolf outlines in the core rule book. This includes mortals and all supernatural creatures. However, before a character can resist Presence, they must realize that it is being used on them. Because Presence is a relatively subtle power (unlike Dominate) a roll must be made to determine if the character notices.
They system is a Perception + Kindred Lore roll with a difficulty of 6. As usual, if the character in question does not have Kindred Lore they may not attempt the roll. This roll is oposed by the Presence user's Manipulation + Subterfuge, also at a difficulty of 6. A single sucess in the Presence user's favor is enough for them to conceal the use of this power.
The difficulty of the Perception roll is modified as follows:
Power specfic modifications
-Awe is being used on: +0
-Dread Gaze (powerful version) is being used: -3
-Dread Gaze (anti-Awe version) is being used: +0
-Entrancement is being used on you: +2

-Summon is being used on you: +0
-Magesty is being used on you: -3

-You have reason to be wary: -1
-ST perogative (used by an enemy, used by a friend, etc): -2 to +2
