Eyes of the Beast
Protean One Revised
The Kindred of the Roman world live in near permanent darkness. The light of torches and oil lamps is the only light in this era. Kindred, being creatures of the night, are adapted to these conditions. They will loose these adaptations with the coming of large cities with an extensive night life during the Renasance. Until then however all Kindred automatically benefit from the enhanced senses granted by the cannon version of Eyes of the Beast, without the drawbacks.
The Gangrel will retain this ability into the modern age. But for the Roman era the first level of Protean mastery truly grants the eyes and sense of beasts. The Kindred's eye sight grows more keen, as does their hearing and smell. Such a close connection to the animal world has the disadvantage of drawing forth the Beast however. When this power is activated the Kindred's eyes turn yellow like a wolf's, grow vertical slits like a cat's, or essentially any change in keeping with the Kindred's nature.
While using this power the Gangrel gains +2 to Perception and +2 to their Initiative. However while under the effects of this power the Kindred finds it harder to control the Beast, the difficulty to avoid frenzy or Rotschreck is one higher.
